Announcing Handsome Testimonials 1.1

After about a month, we’re excited to announce a set of new features to our new WordPress plugin, Handsome Testimonials.

Some Background

We released version 1.0 back in mid-December 2014 with little fanfare. Our goal was really just to get something out there that would display testimonials for advanced users who knew their way around shortcodes, with the intention of adding a more user-friendly version of the plugin down the road.

Well, we’re happy to say that we’ve done just that. The recent release of Handsome Testimonials 1.1 basically adds a snazzy new user interface to all posts and page edit screens, so that you can design your testimonials in a way that best matches your website. This should make things a whole lot easier for most users who just want to get great looking testimonials on their sites quickly.

What’s Next?

Wow, there’s so much to do and so many different directions we can go in terms of features. However, after much pondering, we’ve decided that the best use of our initial weeks since our last update on the WP plugins Directory is to continue to improve the overall look and feel of the testimonials. Our goal has always been to create a plugin that looks great from the get-go without a lot of hassle that comes with other plugins. We want this plugin to be dead-simple. Thus, our plan is two-fold:

  1.  We plan to add a few more great looking designs that are stronger and more stylish than our default design
  2. We plan to add a landscape mode to the plugin so that you can arrange your testimonial image on either the left or right side of the testimonial words, or even rotate testimonials
  3. We’ll be adding an easier way to display 2 testimonials in one row

 . . . and much more . . .

Overall, we’re super excited about this recent release and about our upcoming releases, which we plan to put out soon.
